Greetings NLA members and library professionals,
The Nevada Library Association will hold a conference in Las Vegas on October 16-17. The theme is Renaissance, reflecting our efforts to renew our state chapter with refreshed leadership and new ideas.
The programming committee is seeking proposals for presentations; we hope to provide a wide variety of talks which will appeal to librarians serving in public, school, academic and special collections spaces, as well as to educators, administrators and board members. Presentations should be about 40 minutes in duration with a 10-minute Q&A. Presenters are responsible for providing their own materials, and all handouts or supplemental materials must be submitted in advance for approval by the Programming Committee before the conference.
We're looking forward to reviewing your proposal, but only a limited number of presentation slots will be available. In order to ensure that more librarians can attend, we have limited the conference time to the late afternoon/evening of October 16 and the full day of October 17.
The deadline for submission is September 5, and presenters will be notified during the week of September 15. Please use this Google form to put in all submissions.
